JESUS HIMSELF says "I Am" ( Greek ei mi ) fifty-four times in John's Gospel (including when other characters quote Jesus' words). Twenty-four of these are more emphatic, by explicitly including the pronoun "I" (Greek egw eimi - bold references). |
